Slow Sunday is an artist representation and creative agency working between Los Angeles and New York. We create work with soul, purpose, and originality in a world that’s increasingly becoming more artificial and stale.

Why Slow Sunday?

Slow Sunday was born out of a need to slow down and redefine what creating commercial art looks like in today’s market.

Like so many others in the industry, I’ve been feeling burnt out, uninspired, and overwhelmed. Shot lists have increased, budgets have shrunk, and the longevity of content seems nonexistent. While these problems may not be going away anytime soon, what can change is our mindset around them.

I want working with Slow Sunday to feel like you’re pouring your morning coffee and anything is possible. I want it to feel like a leisurely dinner with friends you haven’t seen in months. More than anything, I want it to feel real, sustainable, and slightly nostalgic. We work for 40+ years, so shouldn’t we enjoy them?

Right now, we’re collectively living in the 3pm slump and seriously considering the Severance Procedure. We’re relying on productivity apps, AI, and dissociated weekends to make ends meet, and the only way to get out of the rat race is to intentionally shift our process and approach.

At Slow Sunday, we believe the best and most successful work comes from humans who create from a place of abundance and opportunity, not scarcity and pressure. That doesn’t mean we don’t work hard or make the impossible possible, it means we cut through the noise and use our years of hands-on experience to offer collaborative solutions that help to solve the most important problems. We don’t pass the buck, we approach things head-on by getting extra involved in the production process so that the entire project, not just our component, is set up for success. We believe our most valuable asset is our humanity and our nuanced understanding of the human condition. After all, who better to sell to a human than a human?

Our Guiding Principles

Artist-First Mentality

Perhaps the most important piece of the Slow Sunday puzzle is our relationship with artists. These are the people we created the business for, so each decision is made with the artist’s long term growth in mind. Our strategic understanding of the industry, and our passion for nurturing the careers of artists, allows us to keep the humans and the art at the center of the equation - the way representation should be.

Creative Overdelivering

No matter the project, our artists bring their unique vision and technological know-of to the table. They’re not afraid to get involved in the creative weeds by pulling additional references, sketching out set-up ideas, or problem-solving shooting schedules. Together, we work hand in hand with our clients, production partners, and crew members to make sure each project is set up for success before we step foot on set.

Transparency and Collaboration

We’ve heard horror stories about reps who work exclusively in the shadows and don’t let their artists see estimates, POs, or MSAs. This is a recipe for disaster that goes directly against our first brand pillar. Slow Sunday is committed to a transparent and collaborative approach, because when there’s true teamwork at play, there’s no need to hide anything. We learn together, we grow together, and we succeed together.
